These terms govern your use of KMG Appliance Repair's services, communications, and website. By scheduling service or using our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.

These terms cover how we deliver service, handle payment, and protect both our customers and our technicians. Your service invoice is always the authoritative document for your specific repair.

Section 01

Definitions

The following definitions apply throughout these Terms & Conditions.

🏢 Company

"Company," "KMG," "we," "our," or "us" refers to KMG Appliance Repair.

👤 Customer

"Customer," "client," or "you" refers to any individual, tenant, landlord, business, property manager, or organization requesting our services.

🔧 Services

"Services" refers to appliance diagnostics, repairs, installations, maintenance, inspections, and related support provided by KMG Appliance Repair.

📄 Invoice

"Invoice" refers to any written or electronic service summary, estimate, receipt, or payment request issued by KMG Appliance Repair.

Section 02

Service Call & Diagnostic Policy

A service appointment requires that an adult authorized to approve repairs and payment be present during the scheduled appointment window.

Standard Diagnostic / Service Call Fee
This fee covers technician travel, inspection, diagnosis, and time on site. The fee is non-refundable once the technician has arrived at the property.
May be credited toward approved same-visit repair
Each appliance or issue may be treated as a separate service request, even if multiple appliances are serviced during the same visit. Discounts for multiple repairs are offered solely at the company's discretion.
Some repairs require moving appliances or accessing tight spaces. While reasonable care is used, KMG Appliance Repair is not responsible for minor scratches, marks, dents, or damage to flooring, cabinetry, countertops, walls, or trim resulting from appliance access or movement.
Section 03

Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, e-transfer, and other approved methods listed on the invoice.

⚠️

Outstanding balances suspend all coverage. KMG Appliance Repair reserves the right to suspend warranty coverage, future appointments, and ongoing work until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

Section 04

Previously Disassembled or Modified Appliances

KMG Appliance Repair reserves the right to decline service if an appliance has been previously disassembled, altered, modified, or repaired by another party before our technician's inspection.

No guarantee can be provided on tampered appliances. We cannot verify prior workmanship, installation quality, missing components, or operational safety on appliances that have been previously serviced by another party.

ℹ️

Diagnostic fee remains payable. If service is declined after the technician's inspection due to prior modification, the diagnostic fee is still owed and non-refundable.

Section 05

Appointment Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be cancelled with adequate notice. Cancellation requests must be confirmed directly with a live representative — voicemail, missed calls, emails, or unconfirmed texts may not be accepted as valid notice.

📅 Standard Appointments

Cancellations must be made at least three (3) business hours before the scheduled appointment window begins.

⚡ Same-Day Appointments

Appointments booked within three hours of arrival must be cancelled within one (1) hour of booking to avoid penalty.

Section 06

Refund Policy

Diagnostic and service call fees are non-refundable. Repair charges apply only to the diagnosed issue approved by the customer.

If a repair cannot be completed after reasonable attempts, labour adjustments or partial refunds may be considered at management's discretion.
Refund eligibility for parts depends on supplier policies, manufacturer conditions, installation status, and packaging condition.
Installed parts — considered used and generally non-refundable
Electrical components — non-refundable once installed or tested
Special-order parts — subject to supplier non-return policies
Diagnostic fees — non-refundable after technician arrival

Manufacturer warranty exceptions apply. Parts may be eligible for refund or replacement if they fail within the applicable manufacturer warranty period.

Section 07

Parts Orders & Deposits

Certain repairs require special-order parts. In such cases, a deposit of up to 50% of the estimated repair total may be required before parts are ordered.

📦 Customer Cancels After Order

Refunds on deposits depend on supplier return policies and may be reduced by restocking fees, shipping charges, or non-returnable part restrictions.

✅ KMG-Supplied Parts

When KMG diagnoses the appliance and supplies the replacement component, we are responsible for ensuring the correct part is installed for the diagnosed issue.

Once installed, parts are considered used and cannot be returned except under applicable manufacturer warranty terms.
Unless requested otherwise, removed parts may be discarded or recycled after repair completion.
Warranty coverage applies only to parts supplied and installed by KMG Appliance Repair.
Section 08

Customer-Supplied Parts

Installation of customer-provided parts is performed solely at the technician's discretion. KMG Appliance Repair may refuse installation of customer-supplied components for safety, compatibility, reliability, or quality concerns.

No warranty of any kind is provided on customer-supplied parts. If installation is requested without diagnosis by KMG Appliance Repair, all warranties and guarantees are waived.

KMG Appliance Repair is not responsible for the following in connection with customer-supplied parts:

Incorrectly ordered or incompatible parts
Defective third-party components
Repeat failures caused by faulty supplied parts
Additional labour resulting from incompatible or faulty parts
ℹ️

Limited labour warranty may apply. If KMG diagnoses the appliance and the customer supplies an exact-match replacement component, a limited labour warranty may still be provided — only if the part exactly matches the recommended specifications.

Section 09

Warranty Terms

Standard labour warranty coverage is 90 days unless otherwise stated on the invoice. Replacement parts supplied by KMG Appliance Repair are covered according to manufacturer warranty terms.

Warranty coverage does not apply to the following:

Customer-supplied parts
Diagnostic-only visits with no repair performed
Declined repairs
Maintenance or cleaning services
Appliances altered or modified after our repair
Food spoilage, water damage, or loss of use from appliance failure

Section 10

Limitation of Liability

KMG Appliance Repair shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from appliance malfunction, delayed parts, repair delays, or service interruptions.

Customers acknowledge inherent service risks. Appliance repair involves working with mechanical and electrical systems. By booking service, customers accept the reasonable risks associated with servicing and moving appliances on their property.
