Most common refrigerator problems

Your refrigerator will not start

Check the fuse first, maybe replacement will solve the problem. Faulty control board, cold control switch, overload relay is another potential reason. If you are lucky, you can fix it yourself but in most cases, you will need to call a professional technician.

It makes strange noises

First of all, locate where the noise is coming from. Faulty drain pan, evaporator fan, or a condenser fan may be the reason for this problem.

Water leaks from underneath

If your refrigerator is leaking, it may be hard to detect the source of the problem right away. Blocked defrost drain, cracked or broken drain pan, clogged or frozen water supply may be one of them.

Food gets frozen

First, check the temperature inside of the fridge compartment. The optimum temperature for storing fresh food in a refrigerator is 4°C (39°F) or lower. But if the temperature is much lower, adjust it. If an adjustment does not help, a faulty temperature control thermostat can cause this problem. Check your refrigerator’s door seals. If they are torn, warped, or worn, replace them as soon as possible. Make sure that food is not touching any of the air vents.

We had issue with our Bosch dishwasher, and from work of mouth, we contacted KMG Appliance Repair. We were very impressed with the service that we received. Steve diagnosed the issue with my fridge as it was not cooling properly. Once the part arrived , he returned promptly to replace the defected part and followed up 48 hrs later to confirm the fridge was working.
